We recommend an engineer’s vice made from solid cast iron with replaceable jaws for longevity and durability. Use a magnetic vice tool with soft jaws to prevent damage to the workpiece. When a bench vice isn’t available, use a tri vice to hold various materials such as conduits, PVC and copper tubing. We recommend an engineers’ vice or drill press vice for a reliable table vice. Keep materials steady during drilling with a drill vice.
