Water Resistant Safety Footwear
Water resistant safety footwear is designed to handle the typical British day: a bit of rain, some wet grass, and a few puddles. Usually carrying an S3 rating, these boots feature chemically treated leather or synthetic uppers that repel water absorption for a limited time (typically 60 minutes).
They are the perfect middle ground. They keep your feet dry in damp conditions but are generally more breathable and affordable than fully waterproof membrane boots. Regular maintenance with polish or dubbin is essential to maintain the water resistance of the leather over the lifespan of the boot.
