SB Safety Footwear
SB (Safety Basic) footwear is the foundation level of industrial safety. To earn this rating, the shoe must have a toe cap capable of protecting against a 200-joule impact and a 15kN compression force. For many low-risk roles - such as light assembly, driving, or visiting safe sites - this is all the protection required.
SB footwear is often lighter, more flexible, and more affordable than higher-spec models because it doesn't necessarily include a heavy steel midsole or waterproofing. However, you must check your specific risk assessment; if there is a risk of stepping on nails, you need to upgrade to SB-P or S1P.
