Prep Premier Filling Knife 2" is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Filler Good product. This knife replaced my old rusting one and is top quality. Much more flexible and therefore more user friendly

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made. This is well made and with it's hardwood handle an attractive tool. As a filling knife it works very well, the sharp and very flexible blade leaves a very good finish, ideal for plaster repairs. It is not a scraper and except for the lightest applications should not be used as such. Some have complained it's not stainless steel despite having been described thus. Possibly it's carbon steel, the traditional and arguably best material for this application and many edge tools. Ever seen a stainless steel chisel? I've had no problems with it rusting but I do follow a normal cleaning regime after use, as a craftsman should on all tools.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from There are different types of stainless steel. Some stainless steel rusts and some are magnetic. Each type has different mechanical and chemical properties. The problem here is that the manufacturer does not tell you the precise material from which the tool is made. If it is important to you then please ask. The Internet will describe the different types.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It rusts! Because I hate my knives rusting, I bought a 2" and a 4" Prep Premier Filling Knife because the description said the blade was stainless steel. In actual fact the blade is pretty magnetic, and the edge starts to rust after a few uses. If there is any stainless steel involved in the making of the blade, it's almost as though a stainless steel coating has been applied, that wears off with use! The knife has a nice balance, but the 4" is a bit stiffer than I expected. I am disappointed with my purchase, and I would be very unlikely to buy a Prep product again.
