Planer Thicknessers

How do I set depth on a planer?
Use the depth adjustment knob or lever to set the cut in millimetres. Thicknessers can return precise increments.
Routers
Get the perfect finish with a wood router from Toolstation. Router tools are excellent for cut-outs, duplicates from a pattern, sharp edges, cut joints, decorative surface cuts and more. The Makita RP1801X 1650W plunge router allows controlled vertical movement during cutting. Fixed‑base or plunge router - what’s the differe,nce?
- Fixed-based routers: have a set cutting depth making them a good choice for edge routing.
- Plunge routers: allow you to drop the cutter vertically - ideal for grooves or internal cuts.
