Rated 5 out of 5 by from Birdguard - Gas Happy with the purchase, good quality item. Matches chimney well and has stopped birds perching/ entering. Can't comment on overall reliability as it is a recent install, but looks well made/ finished.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Did the job and fairly well put together I turns out the maximum 250mm is the internal chimney pot dimension so this fitted over my 10" chimney pot without any problems. The straps are not adjustable so I har to drill some extra holes in them to shorten them as my pot only sits about 6" above the brickwork. They bend really easily with a bit of finger pressure. So I just bent the excess piece over. Apart from that took my all of a bout 5 minutes to fit and will hopefully do the job for the next few years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Top Birdguard - Gas Item purchased to prevent the entry of pigeons into the chimney system (I had already rescued two). I scoured online for a chimney birdguard suited to gas - there didn't appear to be a lot of choice these days. I needed the item fast so chose the local Toolstation. Item seemed a little expensive to me for what it was, but I was determined to solve this problem once and for all. First impressions of the product were good, this is a substantially sized item and appeared to be of a quality construction. From the website, the materials of construction are aluminium with a powder coated finish. The item was well finished and I couldn't see any obvious defects. It was better than what I expected it to be. Installation of the item took ten minutes by a qualified roofer. He said the item was "nice" when I handed him the box, and said installation was "easy" after carrying out the task. From the street, this item looks good and matches the colour of my chimney (terracotta) so it blends in nicely. It may not look so good on other colours of chimney e.g. black or grey. I would also make a comment that numerous neighbours have similar items installed, these appear to be of simple stainless steel construction and definitely don't look to be as of good quality as this item. I cannot comment on the overall durability yet as it is a recent install, but I'd expect it to last for many years. Overall it appears to be a quality item and has solved the pigeon problem.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from only time will tell I bought this to replace a cheaper one that only lasted two years. Seems sturdy enough and a doddle to fit. Only just fitted it, so can't recommend. likewise can't comment on the performance.
