• Pack contains 2x 2.1m and 1x 1.05m lengths for fewer butt joints around the frame

A Fire & Smoke Seal Door Pack from Astroflame for fire door assemblies. An intumescent graphite-based fire seal contained within a PVC sleeve for fitting into a rebate to either the leaves or the frame of a door. In the event of a fire the seal expands (intumesces) to many times its original volume, and seals the gap around the door to provide a safe and effective barrier against the passage of fire, smoke, and hot gases.

The Fire & Smoke Seal Door Pack is Certifire Approved and tested in accordance with BS476 Part 22: 1987. It has been Smoke tested in accordance with BS EN 1634-3: 2004 and has a fire rating of 30 minutes. The Astroflame Fire & Smoke Seal Door Pack is a brush type fire and smoke seal, supplied with self-adhesive backing tape.

10mm profile size: 10mm x 4mm and pack contains 2x strip lengths of 2100mm to be used on both sides of a fire door, and 1x brush strip length of 1050mm to be used on the top of a fire door.

15mm profile size: 15mm x 4mm and pack contains 2x strip lengths of 2100mm to be used on both sides of a fire door, and 1x brush strip length of 1050mm to be used on the top of a fire door.

Our opening times are 7am-8pm Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm Saturday and 9-4pm Sunday. Please check your local store is open on the store locator page, before you visit.

Once you have placed your order online, we’ll have it ready for you at the store you have selected in as little as 5 minutes. We will hold your order for 14 days, after which we will automatically generate a refund to the payment type you used to place the order.

Don’t forget your mobile number – Make sure your mobile number is added so that we can text you when your order is ready to collect. Please wait for your text or email before coming to collect your items.

If an item is eligible for Next Business Day Collection in store, the order must be placed by 9pm Monday to Thursday for collection the next day. Orders placed after 9pm on Thursday, and up to 5pm on Sunday, will be available for collection on Monday. For larger items over 30kg, please allow two business days.

Actually wanted brushes around doors to cut down sound leakage (rent rooms on air bnb so important) I figured why not go for this has added bonus of sealing door in a fire and stopping smoke also. Fitted using straight router, I tucked it right into the fire stopping as other wise it seemed to me it would have to be left out over hinge and lock areas just possible to get between a sash lock and the stopping. Some areas I put an extra strip on the door also (old warped doors not fully making contact with door stop) looks neat and professional. Kits give just the right amount for a door. Didn’t use the self adhesive backing on the whole as friction fitted fine and want to be able to remove easily to repaint.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flush fitting very Hit and Miss Used this to replace existing intumescent strips already set in a fire door lining. The problem was it was hit and miss as to whether it fitted flush with the lining (excluding the smoke seal). In some places it fitted perfectly however in other places it protruded outside of the rebate. I tried using a piece of scrap wood and a hammer to get it to seat flush without success.
