Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as good as FluidMaster. Mine has a drip and closes sharply creating a thump in the pipework. I accept that my pipework maybe insufficiently secured, but there is still a nasty shock to the system every time it closes. My water pressure is about 5 bar, so significant but within spec. The flow isn't 'cushioned' while filling either so it's a bit noisier than necessary (I believe some earlier models fed water down a plastic tube rather than just 'dropping' it from the exit nozzle into the cistern). I only got this over a FluidMaster because my space was limited and this is very compact and I would still choose FluidMaster in future if possible.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hope it'll do the trick Hoping this will do the trick, as close a replacement as I could find, but doesn't have the silent fill tube like the old version. Feels flimsy, but time will tell how well it performs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value valve. Good value, incredibly cheeply made but does the job and was easy to fit as a replacement for a failled similar one. Was tempted to get a brass one but this one was so much less expensive. Will fur up just as quick as a dearer one so probably the sensible option.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 25 Year Old Torbeck now working like new again. These are now made in Turkey rather than England, but I was able to repair a 25 year old older Torbeck by just changing the blue plastic nut, float arm, end cap, and diaphragm. The 25 year old diaphragm was still working so it wasn't that part that was causing the Cistern to overflow very slowly. However, the 25 year old diaphragm did need replacing as black residue was coming off it when you touched it. I reused my old float although I could have used the new one. The new float wasn't sealed but was like an upside down bucket that traps air inside the float when the water level in the Cistern rises. Only 4 stars as there's no plastic tube to refill the Cistern quietly like the old one, although as I wasn't changing the main body of this valve, I reused my old plastic tube and main body. Took about 1 minute to change as I didn't need to turn off the water as my Cistern is refilled from a cold water tank about 2 metres higher than the Cistern, ie. it's a very low pressure system. You might need to turn the water off if your Cistern is filled under pressure from the mains to replace the blue plastic nut with associated diaphragm, end cap, float arm, and float, etc. In the past, I have found that I need to rinse out the diaphragm every 10 years to stop a slow overflow situation developing. Very reliable piece of equipment, especially when filled from a very low pressure cold water tank, ie. under gravity and not mains pressure.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don’t last long. Inner rubber went These are ok but only last a few years. Which can be a pain if in a concealed cistern. Have fitted a couple and decided not to use again to avoid call backs
