Surestop Remote Pushfit Stopcock 15mm is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fragile and can cause other problems WARNING - our carpenter used the stopcock without my knowledge and when he switched it back on he broke our washing machine and caused air to get into our system which took a while for me to diagnose and sort. The sudden burst of pressure was lucky only to break the dishwasher and not other pipes. I would suggest turning off the water from a stopcock tap if you have used the button in an emergency and then gently ease the tap open again after you have switched the surestop back on to avoid damage to your system. It's temperamental when switching off and easy to accidentally switch slightly and built of fragile components that likely won't last all that long. In hindsight it's a good idea that's badly implemented with cheap components - would expect better quality for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It really works! One had been installed in my father’s retirement flat, easily accessible remote switch made switching off the water as simple and easy as switching off a light. In my flat the original brass stopcock was very inaccessible and had seized open. The Surestop solved this problem completely. A great bit of kit - a little pricy but a great investment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissapoinment Due to the fact that the stopcock is in a most awkward place, I was extremely happy when I found this valve with remote Shut-Off Switch. It worked couple of times, but recently when I wanted to shut the water off it just didn't work. The water was still running and won't stop at all. I had to remove the valve and return it, and install copper pipe with a ball valve instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not cheap but a great product This was a great solution to our problem of replacing a seized stop cock in a very inaccessible location under the floor beneath kitchen cabinets. The remote switch was brought up into a cupboard and works perfectly so far. The plumber was able to fit it quite easily despite the limited access and visibility so top marks all round.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product - easy to fit I had an incoming water main behind a proposed shower enclosure and needed to relocate the stop cock. This product solved it, and the switch is neatly flush mounted - now a couple of metres away after routing it through the stud work wall. As it works on water pressure, there is no issue of electrics, and it is simple to operate, leaving the shower area free of an access point to the mains shut off. Very pleased with result, but cannot comment on long term reliability as recently fitted - no problems so far, and other reviews rate its performance, so expect it to work for long term. Just follow the instructions carefully.
