Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it says in the packet Bought these for sanding the moulds on my timber front door, which I did today. Quite fine so no scratch marks on the paint that I had applied previously. Certainly good for de-nibbing and although the pad started to fall apart that didn't bother me because there was a pack of ten. Will use again on the door prior to applying the top coat

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the best Got to agree with a few of the others, work alright but so thin they go to holes very quickly, didn't have the fine pads so I bought medium (100 grit) and only used them for light rubbing down between coats of paint to give next coat a key so no hard work but still they became full of holes, wouldn't but them again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They do the job Great for sanding non-uniform surfaces (eg. banisters) and last well. Can also be used wet which keeps the dust down

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Brand Change Not Up To Scratch I have bought sponge abrasive pads from Toolstation for years and found them indispensable for dry sanding fiddly shapes like moulded skirtings and panelled doors. They have also been perfect for wet sanding radiators (Tip: after much use for dry sanding, clogged pads can be given a new lease of life by using them wet). Pads from Toolstation have always done a really good job, last well and been really good value. However Toolstation have changed brand of their pads from “Indasa” to “Prep” and although the reviews seemed a little mixed I thought I would give these new ones a try. Unfortunately I have to agree with all the negative reviews. I used just one pad out of a box of 60 grit for wet sanding a radiator and it was immediately noticeable that they were nowhere near as effective as the old “Indasa” brand pads. As other reviewers have commented, within a very short space of time virtually all of the grit came off the pad making it completely useless. Fortunately I still have some of the old brand left and although well used they are still far better than this new offering. No problem getting a refund from the friendly staff at my local Weymouth branch. Toolstation, can we have the old Indasa brand pads back please?
