This natural pale shellac sanding sealer from Barrettine provides an airtight seal to your wood products before you apply your wax or French polish. It contains additives to expedite the sanding and prevent any damage to your wood. A second coating is recommended for tricky surfaces, especially antiques. This process will do a fantastic job of protecting your wood from blotching or damage.
The shellac keeps well when kept at a medium temperature, and is ready to use again with a shake or a stir to loosen it up. Its pale colour allows you to wood dye before the shellac is applied. It's really simple to apply the shellac with a brush or pad and you only have to wait an hour or two for the wood to dry before you can sand the surface down.
