Roughneck Ultimate Mortar Gun is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of Tme and Money really not as expected, the mortar mix has to be really wet and then water pours out when its getting compressed next to useless ending up doing the old method semi dry mix hawk and trowel can't beat it as for the mortar gun couldn't go lower than 1 star or would have.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great idea - does not work in practice No matter how soft / wet the mortar, after the first 20% comes out the remainder is stuck/ dry as all water content is pushed out by the plunger action

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Even the smallest mortar nozzle works a treat Was amazed that with a runny mix, plenty of platiciser and mixing with a bent bar in a drill, even the smallest (c 5mm diameter) mortar nozzle worked a treat, filling gaps between bricks laid in a circular pattern - ie variable width. Just left it to lose some water/go off slightly before pointing. Reckon it's about 3 x faster than using a trowel to tamp normal mortar into the gaps as I was doing before. As everyone else says, having a bucket of water on hand to clean between fills was very useful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works most of the time It's ok for mortar as long as you take it steady, it could do with some larger nozzles to help stop it blocking

Rated 3 out of 5 by from poor i brought this to re point my patio,i found that you had to have the mortar mix really wet to make it come out, then the water just poured out when holding the item pointing down to re-point between the slabs, then the last 100mm of mortar in the tube went really dry and i had to take it all apart to clear it each time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good item I bought this a few weeks back and it has paid for itself already. My only small grumble would be that it does not come with the little scoop to make filling up a bit easier. It is the ULTIMATE! mortar gun after all. Overall very happy. Just make sure you keep it clean (really clean) after you have used it. And wet the tube inside before first use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fiddly to load For the money this should really have a scoop included as it is fiddly to fill but fairly easy to use. Had a load of pointing to do on a wall and used this in conjunction with a trowel for a good job. A bit pricey but seems sturdy so will probably last a while.
