Roughneck Mortar Gun Spares Kit is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 50.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money I brought this as I am a bit of a novice and it looked like it might make the job easier... it didn't... I even used it with ready mix mortar suitable for the gun... it broke almost immediately and I wish I had taken it straight back!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from rubbish wanted to use for cement , but on first use it leaks any water in cylinder , then snapped the trigger , DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless No use. Blocks repeatably, mix needs t bee so sloppy it won’t stay in brickwork. Far too small capacity. A few goes you get dry motar in the screw thread and can’t get it undone. Amother tool to washdown. Waste of time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Reasonable tool but of limited use As the title implies, I think that in the correct circumstances this would be a useful tool. However while initially it seemed to work well but with the mortar I was using I found that rapidly the water was squeezed out and the remaining mortar then became too solid to be squeezable through the nozzle. The instructions say it in not suitable for use with sharp sand mortars, I didn't consider my mortar was very coarse but maybe it was coarser than the tool was designed to handle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from pointing heaven - for 15 minutes comes with two plunging discs which only lasted two plunges each before they broke, so in total 4 cylinders worth of cement, which amounted to 1.5 patio slabs. At this rate I'd need about 100 spares for it to be any good. Waste of money, do not buy. Im sure someone makes on ehtta works - just not this one....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well with lime mortar Struggled to repoint 1919 house lime mortar. Bought this and it was a revalation. Using 3 to 1 NHL 3.5 hydraulic lime ( soft sand blend and pigment) it worked a treat. Came out like silicone. However even using a 1/4 bucket of mortar over 1/2 hour the slight stiffening of the mix became quite noticeable and I learnt at that point to chuck it away. Adding water led to staining of the bricks. I'm sure cement mortar would be harder to get the right consistency. An angled nozzle would be a big help, I could one of those supplied off at an angle to help get round scaffolding.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn’t work for me I got this based on video recommendations but for my purposes, re-pointing the patio paving slabs, it didn’t work. When put under pressure, the very liquid mortar almost turned solid.
