Roughneck Heavy Duty Flooring Pull Bar is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Needed something more robust than the standard pull bars this thing is awesome probably overkill for laminate flooring but foot engineered/solid wood flooring this is perfect can’t recommend it enough well worth the price

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice and heavy duty but a little short. I've found the Roughneck products generally pretty well made and tough and so I bought this, despite being a bit more expensive than similar looking products elsewhere. In this regard it lived up to my expectations. It's pretty basic, reasonably heavy (which helps with the transmission of force) and does not look likely to break ever under normal use. The underside has a thick layer of felt to protect the flooring. The sharp, crow bar, end also proved to be very useful. I used it for removing solidly nailed skirting boards. The wide and felt coated underside was less likely to damage walls than a regular crow bar. It's also great for leavering rows of laminate boards into position, again without damaging the wall or the boards. There were a couple of things I didn't like. The first was the place you strike the bar. This was very small and had a plastic covering. It looked liked it was designed to be hit with a hammer. I was using a large (24oz) rubber mallet which is a standard tool for laying laminate. Yet the striking point was too small and the plastic coating unnecessary. A bigger, heavier and uncoated plate would have been preferable. The second problem I found was that it would have been better it had been longer. When trying to tap the last board, that was right against the wall, it was really hard to take a good swing at the strike knob. Because of the shortness of the bar the closeness of the wall hindered the ability to swing the mallet. This is probably not so much of a issue in a small room where a shorter run of boards requires less force. But bigger rooms and in my case a run from a living room into a hallway a bit more force would have been useful and an easily remedied with an extra 5 or 6 inches of bar. But despite the above flaws overall this is a decent and well made product. Makes laying laminate considerably easier. Not sure you need a tapping blocking for laminate. I just used a thick offcut of wood. But I wouldn't want to do a floor without one of these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality. What a brilliant piece of kit, solid and well made. The part that hooks over is thin but very strong and easily fits between the laminate and the wall. The reverse side is felted so doesn't scratch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a good tool The tool did as it was supposed to and helped install the wooden flooring

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great replacement. Bought to replace the poor quality bar that was is the floor fitting kit. The plastic cover on the striking plate cracked on the first hit but it didn't affect its performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pull Bar I bought this pull bar to install a laminate floor and I would recommend buying one. It is heavy duty as stated and is much better than the pull bar's you get with the laminate installation kits. I bought one of these instead of an installation kit and used laminate offcuts as packers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Did the job but not without fault. This is a great tool and such a great replacement for a DIY pull that bent during use. This is well made but the hard plastic shock absorber has been squeezed out of shape through hammering. Still works fine though and does not mark the wood surface due to felt on bottom.
