Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked perfect Used to assist in changing a downstairs radiator valve. Turned the heating off and shut down all radiator valves in the house. Turned off the inlet to the heating header tank in the loft. Pressed and twisted these rubber bungs in the header tank outlet and expansion tank (fitted firm, secure and aligned with pipes). Gently undid valve to be replaced. Slight dribble of water the the vacumn effect on the pipes worked perfect. Made changing the valve a doddle. However the bungs may become worn and not seat properly after several uses. So use with caution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Wasn't sure it would work but followed the instructions and changed a TRV in minutes. Even poured the collected water back into the expansion tank.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Time saver Whilst renovating my bathroom I replaced the existing radiator with a chrome towel radiator, I came across this kit by accident and thought I would give it a go as draining down is such a pain. I didn't achieve a perfect isolation (possibly my fault) but the reduced flow allowed me to replace the old valves, one at a time with the new chrome valves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked like a dream, why the scary reviews? This was the first time I've tried to change radiator valves and some reviews elsewhere spoke of brown trousers etc. For me it worked like a dream, I put in the bungs as directed, shut off all the radiators in the house, closed the traps on the CH filter and controlled the flow with the old valve until the flow stopped. About three pints came out and that was it. I changed one valve then the other, no air locks, no draining down, nothing. The vacuum sucked in loads of air as I removed the bung from the overflow pipe to prove how it worked. So impressed I wouldn't dream of doing this any other way. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Faulty valve could be replaced without drain This worked really well for it's intended purpose of forming a vacuum to allow valves to be changed without draining down the whole system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works! I was skeptical at first, the bungs didn't seem to plug in well but in fact they did seal the system and I could work on an area of the piping without draining the whole system. 2nd time of use I wound some PTFE tape round the seal area, felt better to push in and again sealed. Very pleased.
