Mirror Screw 1.1/4" (10 Pack) is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A different use Great idea for fixing mirrors direct to the wall. I used them to fit propellors to toy aeroplanes

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A useful screw for the fixings box Some modern toilet cisterns tend to be all 'boxed in' and then 'tiled over', this looks all very nice and clean, but is a total 'disaster' if you have to get at the pipes and the soil stack in the event of a leak. Instead of a small 'plumbing job', this is a building breakthrough and demolishion task! Doubtless if any tiles are broken ( and they will be) you will find they will be out of production after the repair. Little wonder that some plumbers take one look at the loo, and decline to quote or call back. By using these screws at the installations time one can box in and fit cover panels covering the cistern and the pipework that can 'easily removed' if needed, and the pipes accessed, serviced and then covered over again. This is the way to go Kirstie!! I have found that sometimes the fine threads on the screw's caps are a tad on the weak side, and do not pick up the thread, but a dab of superglue and a short push will hold them in place until you need to remove the panel again. Ladies beware, do NOT buy a house with 100% boxed in toilet cisterns will live to regret it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Poor Quality Bought yesterday (unfortunately before reading reviews !) and totally agree with negative reviews as none of the heads actually screw in. Needs a quality control check with the manufacturer as only 6 in packet (not 10 as advertised) but packet is re-sealable, so might have been returned unchecked. Definitely not up to Toolstation's normal high quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Good The threads in the screws are not deep enough to allow the caps to screw down flush with the mirrors they are supporting. Visually not a good finish.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality The screw threads for the caps were not cut very well

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the best Bought them to seal a lid shut on a ashes box iv made. they snap really easy even when I pilot drilled the oak first the caps are a pain to remove once put on but in all fairness once you can get the screw in and cap on properly they look decent

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay, but... I tend to agree with others that have noted the problem screwing the caps onto the screw head. I opened the pack and 50% of the caps wouldn't fully engaged - I then boiled some water and placed the screws that were giving problems head down into the water for about a minute, and this solved the problem. I hope this method works for you, but it really shouldn't be nescessary for us the customer to do this.
