Rated 1 out of 5 by from POOR DESIGN As well as the other reported negative downsides to this product there is another. Unsuitable for bottom entry conduit as the hex of the bush fouls the socket interior and won't allow the socket to be screwed into the box. Won't buy another.

Despite some poor reviews, notably one that said these sockets draw 5 watts when not in use, these are of good quality and the USB charging device (the 2.4 amp one) is smart, i.e. will adjust it's power output according to the needs of the device that you plug in. I checked the claim about drawing 5 watts when idle by wiring one up to a power supply monitor. It draws 0.0 watts when idle!! I think the aforementioned reviewer either had a faulty device (dissipation of 5 watts would have made the device quite warm) or they used a faulty power meter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap and nasty - pay more for better quality Poor quality overall, unbranded metal clad socket - thin gauge metal casing, poor rocker action of switch, flimsy earth terminal mount flexes when tightening. I was under time pressure the day I did this job, otherwise I would have taken it back to tool station.
