A Makita dust guard can be added to the top of the cutter to collect debris while in use, keeping your vision clear and the room clean.
For extra safety, the anti-restart feature stops the machine from activating when you've just replaced the battery - so no unpleasant surprises there. The spindle lock on the side helps to hold the 1/8" cutter in place as you tighten it onto the collet, while the circular gauge on the top lets you adjust the range of your cutting depth.
This gauge also doubles as a spanner to tighten up the collet nut. On top of all that, the lithium-ion battery clip stops vibration transfer to the battery to reduce wear and keeps your cutter ready for action for much longer.
