This Makita brushless laminate trimmer is a miniature router generally used for cutting your rough veneer surface down to size. You can also employ it for jointing, rounding edges, housing or cutting dovetail joints. It's designed with a simple power button so it's easy to get going, and the lock button next to it will help avert accidental activations.
The brushless motor provides a long run-time and its direct current keeps the motor clean and free of wear. This keeps noise and heat generation to a minimum. The motor couples with a rechargeable 18 V lithium-ion battery which will keep the trimmer going long enough to get the job done.
An easy-to-use dial puts more control in your hands and has five speed settings ranging from 10,000 to 30,000 rpm. This means you can adjust your speed depending on what material you're using. Plus, the trimming speed being kept in check will help you achieve a consistent and level result.
