This Makita 190 mm circular saw is a mains-powered tool delivering 1200 W power in a compact, lightweight package. Its range is suitable for cutting hard or softwoods of all sizes, with a 66 mm depth of cut at 90° and 46 mm at 45º – a great all-rounder to complete all sorts of jobs that need a bit of extra power.

You can adjust the cutting depth quickly using the single-action lever,and the saw has a rear angular guide so you can achieve precise adjustment of the bevel angle. It’s also compatible with a guide rail to help you make accurate, smooth-edged cuts every time.

The flat motor housing end gives it a stable base, so it’s safe and straightforward to change the blade too. The Makita HS7601J saw also has an ergonomically-designed soft grip which, along with it being so lightweight, makes it easy to manoeuvre and comfortable to use for long periods. It has a strong aluminium base plate and a die-cast aluminium safety cover. You can attach a dust extractor to the rear dust exhaust port, for safe and clean air during use and an easy clear-up when you're all done.
