What are the Benefits of Fire Door Locks?
Fire door locks are made from fire-resistant materials to help prevent fires from spreading inside a building. They are available in various finishes, including stainless steel, brass, nickel plating and polished chrome. Some fire door locks use an electronic magnet mechanism to close internal doors, providing extra security. The magnet releases the door if the fire alarm is activated or the power supply cuts out. Emergency exits never use this type of mechanism, as they must allow people to exit quickly and safely. Instead, a fire-rated latch is fitted, and the door is opened by pressing down on a push bar.
