What are Cylinder Locks Used For?
Cylinder locks are fitted to doors that require higher security levels, as they have a lock on each side of the door. Most external doors have a door lock cylinder, and the barrel lock is easy to replace or repair, should you need to. All new Euro locks feature a 6-pin cylinder lock, providing additional security thanks to the longer key length. Older 5-pin models can be used on internal doors, but all external doors should be fitted with a 6-pin cylinder lock.
