Rated 3 out of 5 by from Towel rail controller Nice controller but problem is there’s no restraint to stop flex from being pulled out of unit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but design niggles Fitted to an 250w electric towel radiator in the previous chilly kitchen. This is a good idea and works well, but there are some design flaws which could make for easier fitting. The unit was fitted to a 35 mm metal box, but would only fit if the top and bottom threaded tags were flattened back into their metal punch outs. The terminal connector strip requires wire entry from the bottom (i.e. 90deg), such that wires also add to the problem of fouling the box. It would be far better if a 45deg entry connector strip was used. I mounted my unit at eye level, with the switched / fuse supply and cable outlet at radiator base level. Other small criticisms: The very rounded corners do not match the more subtle edges of current sockets and switch plates. Bubbles under the membrane can be squeezed out. The LED indicators need not be so bright. However, it works and should save some electricity as it allows the towel radiator to stay warm and keep the kitchen comfortable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Failed after a few months I supplied this and it was fitted by the electrician doing the wiring for the bathroom. It has failed after only a few months, literally used about four times. There is power to it but it's completely dead.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed within a few weeks - No cable grip! I've purchased & installed a few of these over the last couple of months & am now a tad worried after the last one installed has completely failed after only a few weeks. More astonishing is the complete lack of a cable grip - Given an element tail is supposed to go directly into this unit I'd have thought a cable grip would be mandatory in order to comply with current regulations?!... As mentioned there is also no earth dock terminal so, a connector has to be installed to link the earth cables separately. Operation is easy & simple... when it works & once you have provided your own method of cable grip.. I do not expect to be wasting my time at my cost replacing a product because it failed in such a pathetic amount of time. Manufacturers really need to be held accountable for all our lost time in backing up substandard rubbish. The excessive failure rate of modern products has reached an absurd level which costs sole traders dear. Having to replace this under warranty has now wiped out any profit form this job .
