Furniture Hide Rigger Gloves is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, but for heavy jobs only I've been buying these for years, they're my default gloves for gardening, digging, bashing stuff with hammers etc. They're absolutely brilliant for using power tools too, e.g. for absorbing the vibrations from a hammer drill or rock breaker. But... you need the right horse for the right course. I wouldn't wear these for bricklaying, woodwork or anything delicate that needs fingertip control, and I wouldn't write a grumpy review about it either. Presumably these same people are moaning about their welly boots as they're no good for running in! For lighter jobs I swap to PU faced gloves or similar or just nothing. Despite being a similar price, these are vastly superior to the standard suede ones, last far longer and also stay cleaner as they don't absorb as much muck. The leather is surprisingly good quality especially for the price, probably offcuts from some posh sofa or something. I also enjoy looking inside a new pair, they use offcuts of random fabric as a palm liner inside, you get all sorts of pretty flowery patterns. I find that after lots of use (the equivalent of several pairs of suede ones), the stitching will split in a finger or two before the leather tears. Sometimes you won't even notice, it's hardly an issue. That's not because the stitching is weak, but because the leather is very strong. Every type of glove wears out eventually, but these take much longer than most. They're as well made as upmarket leather goods that cost many times this price, incredible value.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too small They might have been OK, but too small for me, and they only come in one size. Also, too stiff, no use for any sort of fine work, esp. in cold weather.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from So stiff they are unusable Good thick gloves. So thick in fact that they are almost unusable as allow no grip. They need a good weathering in period where they can stretch and soften before they are much use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good Having purchased these gloves I read the reviews afterwords and they said gloves were not very good . I am a gardener who can easily wear a pair of gloves out in a day . I wore these gloves and found them to withstand a very harsh battering and would recommend them to anyone who dose a manual job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from First bad product from Toolstation Badly made, actually the stitching was coming apart, didn't bother taking them back as they were so cheap, but never used them, just in the bin
