ForgeFast Timber Fixing Screw Green 7 x 100mm (50 Pack) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok Bought this for some landscaping in a friends garden. Wanted to use it to build a wooden retaining wall out of 8 inch seasoned French oak. They were ok, but could not be used without a substantive pilot hole, in the end I had to use my 10mm x 400mm sds drill bit and effectively these are only biting in around 30mm to connect the wood together. All in all they did the job, but they do not have a great wood cutting ability in seasoned wood and coach bolts may have been a better option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good product Used these on a large decking project. I didn't use the Torx bit instead opting for a 8mm socket in the impact driver, they drive well and will pull the head below the surface if you need a flush finish for overboarding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great screws No pre drilling, a 8mm hex head is better for these screws, drives in wood no problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Two faults with these screws I’ve been buying these screws now for a while. I’m in the building trade and use these for. Path permanent fixings and temporary support. On the whole they’re fantastic but I’ve noticed a couple of pointless design features that we’d all I’m sure like to see the back of. I used to buy another type of this screw but was always wary of the narrow flange just below the hex head. Then I discovered these screws and their wider flange giving a tighter clamping between two prices of wood. The thing that’s pointless is the tapering schamfering of the corners on the hex head. This does nothing but encourage the bolt bit to slip off the head requiring extra pressure to keep the bit on the head. “ stop being a weakling!” I hear you say. But I’ve been in the trade for 35 years so I’m not but when you’re putting hundreds of these things in over the day and instead of wrist strength you need to put your shoulder into it as well it pointlessly over tiring!! And of course, I could use the torx bit supplied but they’re obviously too soft and don’t last five mins. It’s starting to get on my nerves. And I may resort back. So, can we all bring this point up in the hope that forgefast omit this pointless over engineering? Thanks Paul
