Draper Tap & Die Set (10 Piece) is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 46.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it says on the tin Overall it does what it says on the tin if you know how to use it properly. My only negative is the die locking screw slackens in use and the die moves in the holder.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Draper Tap and Die comes up trumps. Purchased this Tap and Die set to repair poor quality threads on a new bike. Cannot fault the quality for the price, I would recommend this product to anyone looking to cut or recut threads infrequently. Excellent addition to any tool kit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tools station is good The m5 tap bit only lasted 2 holes

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap Rubbish Bought specifically because it came with a small Tap Wrench, to suit the confined space available, tap out 6 holes in mild steel with the 4mm Tap ; Using the correct size drill for the 4mm TAP,the Tap snapped half after tapping the second hole, leaving one half in the hole and impossible to remove. Bought a "proper" tap elsewhere and this worked perfectly

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ideal for DIY Cheap and cheerful ! I read the one star reviews and wondered if I was going to get caught. At the time I was desperate for a 6mm thread chaser; took a chance and bought it. The cheap bit is in the tool holders not the tools. This is why suggested it was a DIY item. I chased (cleaned) the 6mm threads in my casting. All is well I tested the 6mm tap as if I was wanting to thread a work piece. First test was using the correct size drill for 6mm thread ( 5,2mm no more no less) without lubrication. Tapping was difficult and constant binding had a tendency to twist the tool. Stopped work because the tool would have broken The second test was same as first but used lubrication. Not engineering cutting fluid but good old 3in1 oil. Tapping the 6mm thread was not difficult it did not bind so completed 6 test holes - All OK The solution is to use the correct size drill for the tap and use lubrication. Adopt good engineering practices. The tap holder was not really man enough for the job. The bar kept falling out and the jaw grip on the tool was poor. No matter - I won't be using it every day, I felt there was requirement to do any more tests. The product is good for occasional DIY and is priced well.
