Reviews
Draper Mortar Joint Raker is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Infuriating The nail and the tool end both remove mortar easily but. . . . . . . . . I just can't get the winged screw to hold the nail in position for more than a few seconds, which means I'm spending more time tightening the wing bolt than I am raking, which is infuriating and unacceptable. I suspect the reason is that the nail is too small the hole and so too easily vibrates loose. I'm loathe to try tightening the screw with pliers as the body is aluminium and I fear stripping the thread.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE!! DON'T BUY!! Bought this to assist with stripping the grout from a chimney stack. Used an angle grinder with a mortar rake attachment which was fantastic, and thought this might help with the areas where the bricks were too close together for the mortar rake to fit. ABSOLUTELY USELESS PIECE OF EQUIPMENT. The locking nut doesn't screw tight enough, and the slightest vibration and the nail comes lose.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK but... It's OK but a bit f a gimmick really. Nothing a good long nail wouldn't do as well. Plus it is difficult to get the the clamping screw tight enough to properly grip the nail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I did not know I needed this tool! I was raking the lime mortar in my old victorian house with a hammer and chisel/screwdriver and I thought "there must be a better way". Decided to give this a try and.. what a difference it makes! It turns what is a very boring job into something almost fun. Anyways, you cannot get it wrong with scraping a wall with a nail. :-)
