Reviews
Coach Screw M10 x 130 (10 Pack) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 62.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok For the price, this is an "OK" product. The material is relatively low grade however and so best suited to internal use. With respect to the design, the thread is of a coarse pitch and is deep and so best suited for use with timber. A design factor not in it's favour when used on timber is the very short unthreaded shoulder which significantly reduces the effectiveness of the screw.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Look good Initially I was delighted until I had to remove two of these large coach screws and they sheared at exactly the same place - where the thread starts from the smooth shank. However I have not had cause to remove any more thankfully but I'm only halfway through the job and have another 10 left to fit. I'll wait to see how we get on if the customer is happy..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from m6 x 70 mm Coach Screw Used externally as part of a fencing project. Recommend drilling pilot holes with a size 5 drill bit. Good value, did the job well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what it should I bought these because the walls have been battened and boarded so I needed a bit more depth. They did the job fine, and decent quality

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Low strength coach screws I bought these to fix some galvanised plates to an oak post. Pilot holes were drilled in the oak but still these bolts could not be tightened without the heads snapping off. I guess very low quality/strength steel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Don't tighten too much Head easily shears off, not for structural use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shearing easily Pre-drilled pine, screwed in by hand using a socket wrench, 2 of 6 sheared. Luckily it didnt totally ruin the project. I switched to using standard woodscrews and used my impact driver. The coach screw shaft is 6mm diameter and shears with hand tightening, a wood screw that is thinner can withstand an impact driver. What are they making these coach screws out of? If it had trashed my work I would have been extremely p'd off
