Much lighter and easier to install than traditional plaster and as tough as many types of timber. Smooth acrylic primer assures optimal adhesion of the finishing coat. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice coving but not quality checked at factory I bought 3 packs of 6 but when opened the boxes on site to use the covering I found 2 lengths had splits running down them about 2 foot long. I called Tool Station who offered to replace them but I had to wait again for a delivery's as they aren't a stock item. I picked up the new box the following week and once again on site found yet another one with split running down it and another with chipped damage. So if you buy a pack there is obviously no quality checks being done at the factory so please open the box in the shop and check before leaving and allow time for a replacement delivery or buy well in advance. On a positive note the coving seems to be made from a polystyrene type material which cuts easily and can be sanded, it is very light and will stay in position to allow you to fetch a hammer and nails to support it whilst the adhesive dries. also note the measurement described is diagonal which isn't obvious. It is about 85mm top to bottom. Would I buy it again, then yes but I wouldn't leave the shop until I had opened the box and checked for damage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product - looks like plaster when painted I have used this product 3 times with great results. It is very light weight making it easy to glue into position. Only two or three times did I need to pin the coving to stop it slipping but this was due to amount of adhesive used on uneven wall/ceiling junctions. It looks brilliant when painted. You'll need to paint the coving around 5 times for a good finish using a 50/50 paint/water for the first coat. I highly recommend using the coving adhesive (part number 19015) which has the characteristics of decorators caulk. I was sceptical that the adhesive would dry and flake like caulk but the room I completed a year ago show no signs of this. It makes perfecting joins so much better than EasyFill that I used to use.
