S5 Safety Footwear

When the mud is deep or you are working with wet concrete, leather boots just won't cut it. S5 safety footwear refers specifically to polymeric (rubber, PVC, or polyurethane) wellingtons. To achieve S5 status, the boot must be completely leak-proof and waterproof, while still containing a protective toe cap and a puncture-resistant midsole.

These are the boots of choice for groundworkers, utility engineers, and farmers. Because they are moulded rather than stitched, there are no seams to leak. Many S5 boots also feature deep tread patterns for grip in slurry and resistance to common site chemicals and oils.
