Shower traps ensure that water drains away efficiently while preventing unpleasant odours from coming back up through the waste pipe. Fitted underneath the shower tray, they hold a small amount of water to create a simple but effective barrier against sewer gases. They also help catch hair and soap residue before it enters the main plumbing system, reducing the chance of blockages and keeping maintenance to a minimum.
