Are 900mm high radiators standard?

While not as common as 600mm radiators, 900mm is a standard and widely available height, particularly for situations where horizontal wall space is limited but high heat output is required. They are often chosen for hallways, kitchens, or rooms with large windows where a taller, narrower radiator is more practical.

What does K1 and K2 mean on a radiator?

These terms refer to the internal construction of the radiator, which determines its depth and heat output:

• Type K1 (Single Panel): Features one water-filled panel at the front and one set of corrugated convection fins. This is the slimmest option.

• Type K2 (Double Panel): Features two water-filled panels (front and back) and two sets of convection fins. This provides significantly more heat output but results in a deeper radiator.

How do I bleed a tall radiator?

Bleeding a 900mm radiator is exactly the same process as bleeding a standard one. You will need a radiator bleed key. Make sure the heating is turned off and the radiator is cool. Place a cloth or small container under the bleed valve (usually located at the top on one side). Insert the key and turn it slowly anti-clockwise. You will hear a hissing sound as the air escapes. Once water starts to come out, quickly turn the key clockwise to close the valve tightly.
