The Mayor of Runnymede, Cllr. Iftikhar Chaudhri opened Toolstation’s new branch in Staines-Upon-Thames last weekend, and highlighted the boost it will bring to local business.
Cllr. Chaudhri met with management, branch staff and customers of Toolstation, and cut a ribbon to open what is the trade retailers 309th branch in the UK. In his speech, the Mayor spoke passionately about his desire to support business investment in the town which can bring benefits to the local community, saying:
“I’m very excited to be opening Toolstation here in Staines-upon-Thames today, they are an award-winning retailer that has chosen to invest in our town, creating jobs for local people and providing a boost to many small businesses and independent trade professionals.”
As well as meeting the Mayor, customers attending the opening were able to watch product demonstrations from Hitachi and benefit from a limited offer of 10% off everything in the branch.
Scott Freeborn, branch manager of Toolstation Staines, said the opening had been a big success thanks to Cllr. Chaudhri’s and our customers support:

Toolstation Staines-upon-Thames is located at Unit 2, Hawthorne Trade Park, TW18 3AY. It is open seven days a week, from 7am – 8pm Monday to Friday, 7am-7pm Saturdays and 9am to 4pm Sundays, and offers a large range of products that includes all the trade essentials such as screws, cables, sealants, plumbing fittings and power tools as well as leading branded products such as Makita, Stanley, Milwaukee and Crown Paints.
