Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple but effective Works a treat. Three radiators and valves changed without draining system

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Easy To Use Three radiators needed their valves changing. One option was drain system - the other was to try this product. Followed instructions (ONLY WORK ON ONE VALVE / HAVE ONE PIPE OPEN AT A TIME) and things went like clockwork. You need to ensure there is a good fitting of plug in both the feed from expansion tank and the vent pipe. So individual radiators off wall and drained. Minimal water from system when individual rad valve opened. Six valves replaced in no time at all. BRILLIANT bit of kit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very useful Well worth buying a set of these bungs if you need to change a rad valve or gate valve on a gravity fed system. They come with cear instrucitons and they will pay for themselves in their first use by not having to drain down the system. Be aware that the are only for pipework up to 22mm. If you have a 28mm connection on your header takn, buy Regin bungs from a plumbing merchant which are a little more expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstandingly quick and no worries at all. Excellent! For use only on tank fed central heating systems. Instructions on box, but gist is you put them into the head tank pipes. Push them in nice and tight into both pipes in the head tank to create the airlock. Shut both valves off on the radiator. If putting on a new valve due to a seized up valve. Just make sure that the other valve is off to make sure the whole system doesn't drain onto your carpets. When refilling, leave one radiator value off. Open up the bleed valve, whilst one side brings the new water in. Remove from head tank pipes and bleed all rads in house incase air has made it's way elsewhere. Start central heating and it should all be good. Used because lock shield had failed due to age and pooring water everywhere. As long as these don't go hard, they should have a pretty long life.
