The Mitox 41 LSH electric powered log splitter is the most compact model in the range, yet still delivers an impressive 4 tonnes of splitting force making it suitable for most wood splitting tasks. The 41 LSH hydraulic log splitter will efficiently split logs up to 37cm in length and 25cm in diameter into two pieces greatly reducing the amount of time spent preparing wood to put on the fire. The two-handed operation and the safety cage which covers the log being split makes this one of the safest ways to split logs down to size.

Collection Details

Our opening times are 7am-8pm Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm Saturday and 9-4pm Sunday. Please check your local store is open on the store locator page, before you visit.

Once you have placed your order online, we’ll have it ready for you at the store you have selected in as little as 5 minutes. We will hold your order for 14 days, after which we will automatically generate a refund to the payment type you used to place the order.

Don’t forget your mobile number – Make sure your mobile number is added so that we can text you when your order is ready to collect. Please wait for your text or email before coming to collect your items.

If an item is eligible for Next Business Day Collection in store, the order must be placed by 9pm Monday to Thursday for collection the next day. Orders placed after 9pm on Thursday, and up to 5pm on Sunday, will be available for collection on Monday. For larger items over 30kg, please allow two business days.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Assembly instructions hard to follow Very hard to understand assembly instructions we had to dismantle gard to screw others to it then reassrmble. Husband is an engineer so shouldnt have been that difficult to make sense. Close up of parts plus labelled packs would have helped. Also a screw pack was missing the one we had instead didnt match the description at all. Found some substitutes in tool box to complete it. As a log splitter it works really well.

One, the machine arrived was left in the porch after i was told someone had to sign for it. Two, following the instructions showed that one of the support brackets would not line up(much swearing and cursing ensued) and meant that a hole had to be drilled to fit. also one of the legs was damaged.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from delivery experience was a shambles ordered this in-store last Friday. asked the guy if it could be delivered to branch for me to pick up TO AVOID ANY HASSLES WIITH DELIVERY but he said not possible. Have spent last week looking at Parcel Force website assuring me the parcel is just about to f=go out for delivery. Today get email saying it has to be picked up as it's too heavy. WHY THE **** use a courier who can't take the item??

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great splitter Great splitter for the price, plenty powerful for the home user, unless your trying to split some real nasty gnarly horrible logs then this is the machine for you. Will easily keep pace with you and you soon learn how to split tougher bits of wood with it

The drawings were very unclear and we had to leave several parts off as they simply didn't fit where the diagram said they should go. Unless you have prior knowledge on how these are assembled, I wouldn't bother buying one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value, perfect for the home user Makes short work of everything I've thrown at it so far, from freshly cut Ash and Apple to part-dried Pine and Oak. You might be worried that the price means poor performance over more expensive alternatives but honestly, unless you're a commercial log-splitting business, this will do everything the home user needs. It's also plenty quick enough; by the time you've pulled off the split log, separated it and thrown it into the wheelbarrow, the piston has returned ready for the next log, so it's not too slow to use either. Only downside I can remotely think of is that it can be uncomfortable to use being so low on the ground. Either mount it up high on your own home-made stand or you can buy stands for them at extra cost. A very minor gripe, really. Time will tell about reliability but what can go wrong? It's an electric motor, a hydraulic ram and a load of cast iron/steel :) ?!
