Toolstation, the multi-award-winning supplier to the trade, has reached a milestone with the opening of its 300th branch.
Its Eastleigh store was officially opened by Councillor Maureen Sollitt, Mayor of Eastleigh on Friday 23rd February. She was accompanied by James Mackenzie, managing director of Toolstation, and retail director Simon Robinson, in celebrating the event and welcoming customers keen to take advantage of discounted prices and prize giveaways.
To further mark the occasion, Toolstation made a donation to two local charities, the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, and Friends of in touch, with representatives from both also attending the opening event, along with major product suppliers Milwaukee, Einhell and Hep2O.
James Mackenzie, who joined Toolstation as managing director in July of last year, said that reaching the 300th branch milestone was great news for the business and a platform for further growth, commenting:
“We’re extremely proud to have reached this milestone of 300 branches across the UK, particularly at a time when many retailers are having to close stores due to difficult trading conditions. It’s a testament to the popularity of Toolstation amongst our customers, and everyone within the business that works so hard on a daily basis to make sure we’re getting it right, that we’re able to celebrate our continuing success at Eastleigh.”
He continued: “This landmark figure represents the start of a new phase in our growth, with an accelerated branch opening plan and an expanded range developed in response to customer demand, as well as lots of other initiatives in the pipeline. We want to ensure that we continue to deliver the highest standard of customer experience and stock availability, whilst maintaining everyday low prices.”
