Ultra-thin, flexible and easy to install – this YBS Foil-Tec Double is a highly efficient vapour control and insulating membrane for roofs, walls and floors.

Foil-Tec effectively controls condensation and air tightness in roofs and walls, while offering great thermal benefits. It can also be used independently as an insulation membrane in floor applications.


• Suitable for roofs, walls, floors and many more applications

• Thin, flexible and lightweight – easy to install

• Built in airtight vapour control layer to reduce risk of condensation

• R-Value up to 1.48m²K/W (equivalent to 65mm of Mineral Wool)

Next Day Delivery – £5.00 or FREE for orders over £25

  • Order before 9pm Monday to Thursday for next business day delivery
  • Order Friday to Sunday before 5pm for Monday delivery
  • Orders placed after Sunday at 5pm will be delivered the following Tuesday
Pre-12pm Delivery – £10.00 to arrive before 12pm on the scheduled days above

Collection Details

Our opening times are 7am-8pm Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm Saturday and 9-4pm Sunday. Please check your local store is open on the store locator page, before you visit.

Once you have placed your order online, we’ll have it ready for you at the store you have selected in as little as 5 minutes. We will hold your order for 14 days, after which we will automatically generate a refund to the payment type you used to place the order.

Don’t forget your mobile number – Make sure your mobile number is added so that we can text you when your order is ready to collect. Please wait for your text or email before coming to collect your items.

If an item is eligible for Next Business Day Collection in store, the order must be placed by 9pm Monday to Thursday for collection the next day. Orders placed after 9pm on Thursday, and up to 5pm on Sunday, will be available for collection on Monday. For larger items over 30kg, please allow two business days.

Used this over sticky bitumen layer following removal of finger parquet, it may or may not, depending of your view of the math's involved, (which to be honest is a bit sketchy), result in a superior level of insulation to the floor. However it was easy to lay and made laying the subsequent floor so so much easier. For that reason alone I would recommend it's use. You never know it may well help to keep your tootsies warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff I built a Garden Gym/office with 100mm rockwool insulation and used this stuff as vapour barrier beneath plasterboard and plaster. If you seal it right, which includes the socket boxes and light fixtures then it gives you a virtually airtight room. The underfloor heating warms the room in 20mins and it stays warm all day. Thanfully I put in an extractor fan and the doors have vents to give me some air flow. Worked a treat.

I’m homeless, I’ve spent a whole week, along with my dog, begging outside Tesco to save enough money to buy a roll of this fine insulation. Your unwanted 5 and 10 pence pieces have been well spent this time, I’m toasty and warm, it’s rinse able in case of accidents, I’ve not been so happy since I last lived in a house. In fact, this would probably come in handy for builders in houses, now there’s a thought!!!!!
