What is a Set Screw?
Set screws are sometimes called screws or socket set screws. These high-tensile screws are used for fastening down materials or components via a process known as setting. Their primary purpose is to lock items in place. Set screws differ from regular screws, as they do not usually have a pointed head and come with a flat tip. They are tightened using a hex key. There are several different set screws available, including plain cup screws, knurled cup screws, flat set screws, oval set screws and cone set screws.
