Product Details

For maximum safety when carrying out renovations or drilling walls use the Bosch GMS Multi Detector and discover any objects that might otherwise get in the way. It can locate metallic structures, both magnetic and non-magnetic, live wires and cables in a variety of wall types. It can also spot wooden substructures behind plasterboard to help you find a suitable anchor point while attaching shelving, cabinets or picture frames.

This simple tool is calibration-free, which helps to avoid errors and means you can carry out work with peace of mind. It has three modes for studs, metal and wire, ensuring easy detection. The automatic zoom scale highlights the object's precise location and it has a center-finder function for even more accuracy. If it discovers an obstruction the device sounds a warning alarm and it has a multi-colour LED ring light that illuminates so you'll be in no doubt.

Collection Details

Our opening times are 7am-8pm Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm Saturday and 9-4pm Sunday. Please check your local branch is open on the branch locator page, before you visit.

Once you have placed your order online, we’ll have it ready for you at the branch you have selected in as little as 5 minutes. We will hold your order for 14 days, after which we will automatically generate a refund to the payment type you used to place the order.

Don’t forget your mobile number – Make sure your mobile number is added so that we can text you when your order is ready to collect. Please wait for your text or email before coming to collect your items.

If an item is eligible for Next Business Day Collection in branch, the order must be placed by 7pm Monday to Thursday for collection the next day. Orders placed after 7pm on Thursday, and up to 5pm on Sunday, will be available for collection on Monday. For larger items over 30kg, please allow two business days.

Moving to a new home and I wanted something to tell me where pipes etc are before drilling etc. Tested tit at my current house and am getting some very odd results. It is picking up a signal for cables and pipes where I know there aren't any. Will test at new home but may be forced to return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded my expectations. I was dubious about purchasing this after reading the very mixed reviews. I bought it and tried it on a lathe and plaster ceiling, with insulation and boards above not expecting much. It identified the joists quite clearly and made the job of installing downlights so muchg easier and in a fraction of the time. Overall very impressed so far. You do need to test in different modes if you want to identify joists, cables etc as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It works, but... I bought this being sceptical, there are mixed reviews around the internet, everything from “it’s magical” to “complete junk”. So I bought it and when it arrived I ran a test. I’d built a stud wall but only dry walled one side so I knew exactly where everything was. I was astonished as to how accurate it was. Here’s the but... ceilings and existing walls aren’t new stud walls, they’re full of insulation and random debris and services and repair patches. So when I tried to use it on a 50 year old flat roof ceiling to find joists it was pretty useless. So, it’s going to have its uses. I’ll keep it but don’t expect miracles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Professional grade scanner Bought for my daughter's wildlife rescue charity, to detect air rifle pellets in birds, confirming they had been shot, therefore helping with diagnosis and treatment. A different, cheaper detector wouldn't detect the lead, so suggested a professional grade multi scanner such as used by builders and electricians
