What is the most powerful electric shower?

10.8kW electric showers are among the most powerful you can buy. These units can provide higher temperatures and greater water flow, but will often require a minimum water pressure of at least 1.0 to 1.5 bar. Other powerful options include a 10.5kW electric shower.

Do electric showers heat water?

Yes – but only the water that comes through the electric shower unit. It’s connected to your cold water mains, so you’ll only heat the water needed for the shower.

Are electric showers expensive to run?

An electric shower will use power as well as water, so regular usage will increase your electricity bills. By how much? That depends on how powerful the shower unit is – for example, an 8kW shower will run more economically than a 10.8kW alternative.

How long does an electric shower last?

Electric showers will generally last up to 4-5 years, but many will continue to perform well beyond that with the right care and maintenance. High usage and poor water quality are common causes of shower faults before then. Most electric showers come with two-year manufacturer warranties.
