S7 Safety Footwear
Confusion often exists between "water resistant" and "waterproof." The new S7 safety footwear rating solves this. Under the 2022 EN ISO standards, S7 is the definitive category for waterproof safety boots. Unlike S3 boots which repel water for a short time, S7 boots feature an integrated waterproof membrane (like Gore-Tex or similar) that prevents water ingress completely.
