All work boots come with safety codes to let you know what protection they provide. These safety ratings start with SB for Safety Basic – this means your work boots meet the basic safety standard for footwear, with toe protection against a 200J impact.

From there, safety ratings increase from S1 up to S7 for the highest specifications. S1 safety boots offer anti-static protection, oil resistance and an energy-absorbing heel in addition to the toe cap. As the ratings increase, you’ll find additional protection for the midsole along with resistance to water and more.

Work boots will also have additional abbreviations with their ratings, to identify any specialist safety features. The most common include A (anti-static), P (penetration resistance), WR (water resistance), HRO (outsole resistance to hot contact) and LG (ladder grip).

Site Boots

Site boots are the go-to choice for many trade pros or construction workers. This range includes steel toe cap boots that are incredibly strong and protect feet from drops, punctures, cuts and abrasions – an essential safety feature for all types of site work.
