You don't need to use water with this bit, as it has a special wax-filled core that melts during drilling, lubricating and cooling the tip of the bit as you go. It has a hex end, to ensure that the bit won't slip in the chuck. Make sure you use it in conjunction with a high-speed, drill with a minimum drill speed of 1800 rpm to ensure the best results and allow the bit to cool between tasks.
