The Makita DUH523RT 18V LXT is a highly convenient and functional cordless hedge trimmer. As well as the rubber soft grip for comfortable and secure handling, the anti-vibration structure contains 5 cushions to absorb vibration from the blade and motor. Battery capacity warnings ensure you are always aware of how much power is left in the 5.0Ah battery that is included, while changing or replacing the blade can be done easily by the user without disassembling the housing. This Makita cordless hedge trimmer features a 52cm stain free, anti-abrasion blade with a long last coating, with a cutting diameter of 15mm to ensure it is always up to the task.

Collection Details

Our opening times are 7am-8pm Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm Saturday and 9-4pm Sunday. Please check your local store is open on the store locator page, before you visit.

Once you have placed your order online, we’ll have it ready for you at the store you have selected in as little as 5 minutes. We will hold your order for 14 days, after which we will automatically generate a refund to the payment type you used to place the order.

Don’t forget your mobile number – Make sure your mobile number is added so that we can text you when your order is ready to collect. Please wait for your text or email before coming to collect your items.

If an item is eligible for Next Business Day Collection in store, the order must be placed by 9pm Monday to Thursday for collection the next day. Orders placed after 9pm on Thursday, and up to 5pm on Sunday, will be available for collection on Monday. For larger items over 30kg, please allow two business days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Hedge Trimmer Brilliant hedge trimmer. Light to handle and the battery lasts for ages. However, the way it was packed (it arrived by Parcel Force) was inadequate. Arriving in just the manufacturers box which is held together by two push in cardboard tabs in arrived open. Luckily the battery (£100+) was still there. Why they don't use packing tape only Tool Station knows.

The manufacturer had an offer of free shears with the product at the time but I was 2 weeks late in submitting my claim and they wouldn’t honour it, which is a shame

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unhappy The trimmer and battery plus charger appear to operate OK I was disappointed to receive the item on the monday following a supposed attempt at delivery on the saturday scheduled. Also the packaging was damaged and showed that it had previously been opened. I went to the website to complain as there is no email address available, needless to say after more than a week I have had no response from Toolstation. I hope this review will prompt some response from the company. I append a photo of the package as delivered on 22/11/21

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makita hedge trimmer I’ve used it a couple of times and it’s been great, especially for precise work like on box hedging and conifers. The battery lasts a very long time. I own a few Makita tools which guided my purchase on this hedge trimmer and I’m still very impressed with the quality of their kit. Fingers crossed it lasts a few seasons but I certainly do feel reassured given the long warranty. Short term use by me so far: highly recommended
