Expensive and didn't work properly
We bought the automatic extractor instead of the pull cord manual version.unfortunately the fan worked but the vent wouldn't open so we returned it

Not a quality product.
I recently purchased an Xpelair GX 150mm fan (64299) to replace an existing Xpelair which had given 40years service. When the new product was bench tested the shutters were not closing, I rang Xpelair and was offered a replacement shutter but I refused the offer as the shutter mechanism may have been the fault. I returned the fan to Toolstation for replacement.
I received a replacement, the shutter was OK but I was concerned about the vibration. I fitted the fan, the level of vibration was not acceptable; I could hear the fan in the dining room and the sitting room (2 closed doors away). Xpelair were not helpful and blamed poor installation!!! I again returned to Toolstation for replacement.
I received the replacement and when bench tested was an improvement on the previous unit but the vibration was still highly evident, when fitted the noise was annoying, certainly more than 37db (a quiet CPU fan) stated in the specification but I along with Toolstation, having spent so much time on this task I gave in, it is sad that Xpelair cannot produce a fan that is so balanced that vibration is minimal. As promised, I informed Xpelair of faulty unit serial No. I will replace the fan in due course once I have confidence in an alternative manufacturer/product.
Through all of this, Toolstation staff were stars, on the telephone and in store; this can only enhance my high regard for Toolstation service and will remain my first choice DIY supplier.

not a wall fan
the product description says either window or wall mounted. I purchased it as a wall fan with the wall kit. however there seems to be a piece missing as the two parts of the fan do not butt together. I.e there is a gap where the glass should fit. I would not recommend this as a wall fan with the parts supplied.
