"Worx's Like a Treat"
I was given this tool by Worx to review and this is a non biased review.
I normally hate jigsaw's... plain and simple. I would rather use a hand saw than a jigsaw as I have not had great experiences in the past. HOWEVER, this has started to change my mind. Normally changing a blade in a jigsaw is a pain but with the the WX 550.3, it has a thumb lever that makes it easier to change a blade. The tool is weighted nicely and feels good to use. This has a dual function of jigsaw and reciprocating saw.
To test it, I had an old door that was lying in my back garden that needed to be cut up to take to my local recycling centre. I would have used a hand saw but I thought I'd give it a try. I used the timber blade and even though it was a bit rough, it worked. I cut through the door under 10 seconds. Hindsight, I should have used the other blade, and when I did, it made a difference
I wanted to try the reciprocating saw function on my bushes that need trimmed and eventually taken down. I tried the recip function and used the larger blade and it cut through the wet bark with ease.
I do like the fact you get 2 batteries in the box but slightly annoyed you don't get a case to keep it in.
Good thing is the 20V batteries are interchangeable with other Worx tools in the same range.
All in all, I feel it is a good useful tool that combines both jigsaw and reciprocating saw functions. Would I recommend it, well, if you need a new tool, it's worth a shot.
