Toolstation E-Gift Card

You can purchase physical Toolstation Gift Cards at the till in any of our stores, or buy digital E-Gift Cards online via the Toolstation website or app.

Digital cards are delivered directly via email, and you can choose whether to send it to yourself or directly to the recipient's email address.

You can use your Gift Card across all our channels! They are valid for part or full payment in-store, on the Toolstation app, on our website, or by calling our Contact Centre.

You can load a set amount (such as £10, £50, or £100) or choose a custom amount between £1 and £500 onto a Toolstation Gift Card.

Your Gift Card is valid for 12 months from the date it was activated at the till or purchased online. After this date, the card will expire and cannot be extended.

No, promotional discounts and Toolstation Club discounts cannot be used to purchase a Gift Card. However, you can absolutely use those discounts on the items you buy with your Gift Card!

At this time, you can only redeem one Gift Card per transaction.

Yes! You can use your Gift Card to part-pay for an order, and cover the remaining balance with a debit/credit card or cash.

(Please note: Trade Credit cannot be used to pay the remainder of a transaction if it is being part-paid with a Gift Card).

If you return an item, the refund will be issued onto a brand-new Toolstation Gift Card. If you paid using a mix of a Gift Card and a bank card, your refund will be put back onto a new Gift Card first (up to the amount originally paid via Gift Card), and any remaining balance will be refunded to your bank card.

If your order needs to be cancelled (for example, if an age verification check is not completed for restricted items, or for account security reasons), the funds will be automatically refunded back to the original Gift Card used to make the transaction, rather than being issued onto a new card. We recommend keeping your physical card or E-Gift Card email safe until your order has been successfully delivered or collected!

Please treat your Gift Card like cash. Toolstation is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged cards, and we cannot replace them or refund the balance. For digital E-Gift Cards, please ensure you keep the email containing your Gift Card link secure.

No, our Gift Cards are currently not reloadable. Once you have spent the balance, simply throw the card away (or recycle it!) and purchase a new one.

We do not currently support digital wallet integration. Please keep your physical card safe, or keep your E-Gift Card email handy for online and in-store purchases.

• Load Limits: You can load any amount between a minimum of £1 and a maximum of £500 onto a Toolstation Gift Card.

• Non-Reloadable: Gift Cards are strictly non-reloadable. Once the balance has been spent or the card has expired, it cannot be topped up or reused with additional funds.

• Scope of Use: Your Gift Card can only be redeemed for purchases made directly from Toolstation in the UK. This includes our physical branches, the Toolstation website, and the Toolstation mobile app. It cannot be used for any third-party sellers or independent brand concessions that may operate on our platforms.

• No Cash Redemption: Gift Cards cannot be exchanged, refunded, or redeemed for cash, bank transfers, or store credit, except where explicitly required by law.

• Partial Redemptions: If your purchase does not consume the full balance of the Gift Card, no cash change will be given. The remaining balance will stay on the card for future use.

• Split Payments: You can use your Gift Card alongside other accepted payment methods (such as a debit or credit card) if your transaction total exceeds your available Gift Card balance.

• The 12-Month Rule: Toolstation Gift Cards, and any remaining balance on them, will expire exactly 12 months from the date of purchase or activation.

• Balance Forfeiture: Upon expiry, any unused funds left on the card will be permanently lost ("zeroised") and cannot be recovered, extended, or refunded.

• Checking Your Balance: You can quickly check your remaining balance and your card's exact expiry date at any time by asking a colleague at the till or by visiting our balance checker tool.

• Refunds to Gift Card: If you return goods that were originally purchased using a Gift Card, the refund amount will only be credited back onto a new Toolstation Gift Card.

• Mixed-Payment Returns: If your original purchase was split between a Gift Card and another payment method (such as a debit or credit card), your refund will be issued to a new Toolstation Gift Card first, up to the maximum amount you originally paid via Gift Card. Any remaining refund balance will then be credited back to your other original payment method.

• Cancelled Orders: If your order is cancelled by us before completion (for example, due to failed age verification checks or account security reasons), any Gift Card funds used will be refunded directly back to the original Gift Card used to place the order, rather than a new card being issued. Please retain your original physical card or E-Gift Card email until your order has been successfully received.

• Treat as Cash: Your Gift Card is an anonymous instrument. The risk of loss and title for the Gift Card passes to the purchaser immediately upon activation at the till, or upon electronic delivery to the designated email address for E-Gift Cards.

• Our Liability: Toolstation is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged cards. We will not replace funds spent on a card without the owner's permission prior to the card being officially reported.

• Replacement Policy: If your card is lost or stolen, please contact our Customer Service team immediately. If we are able to verify your card details and lock the remaining balance, we may, at our sole discretion, issue a replacement card for the remaining funds.

• Not a Financial Product: The Toolstation Gift Card is not a credit card, charge card, debit card, or a regulated deposit account.

• No Interest: Balances loaded onto the Gift Card do not earn any interest.

• FCA Exemption: This Gift Card is a non-regulated, closed-loop payment instrument. It is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and is not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).

We reserve the right to refuse to accept, cancel, or suspend a Gift Card without notice if we reasonably suspect fraud, manipulation, illegal activity, or an unauthorised batch distribution.

• Modifications: Toolstation may modify and update these Terms at any time and at its sole discretion. Any changes will become effective immediately upon posting the revisions on the Toolstation website. You are solely responsible for remaining knowledgeable about these Terms.

• Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
