Rated 3 out of 5 by from Major issues with screws This is one of the few options for a 3 gang socket, but be warned this is very hard to install due to the poor quality screws going to fix the incoming cables. They do not tighten sufficiently and feel cross-threaded somehow. Therefore I found each time I needed to move it to locate into the pattress box, one of more wires would pop out. I've never come across this before and it makes what should be a 5 minute job into a frustrating 2 to 3 hour job just installing a socket. There is also very little space behind the front for incoming cables, and the front can therefore flex outwards slightly when tightened. You have very little choice for 3 gang sockets so you are stuck with this - but be warned!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It may be a well known brand, but AVOID! I read all the reviews of this product and didn't believe them because MK is a name you can trust, right? Well, apparently not. As others have said, the screws (bolts?) that hold the wires in do not have a deep enough slot for the screwdriver blade to fit in and therefore it is almost certain that you will mangle the screw heads, as I did. In the end, I uninstalled the MK one and went elsewhere and bought a 'lesser' make which was far better quality. I will be avoiding MK products in the future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not easy to install The terminal screws were extremely stiff to turn and while this may prevent them coming undone when tight, being sure they actually tight rather than jammed relies on pulling at the cable core to see if it will come loose. Better to feel the screw tighten down and then pull test. Other MK unit screws have been so stiff they have been almost impossible to turn even with the right screwdriver. This surely can't be how they are designed to be. No other make has this issue.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Why is it thinner than the spur switch I bought this socket sit next to a couple of spur switches and a 20A DP light switch. One spur operates my CH controller, the other powers some LED lighting which, in turn, is operated with the light switch. So, given that all these items are in the same style, why oh why is the socket several mm thinner than the light switch and spur switches? The socket fills the other half of an Appleby dual dry-lining box and, because it's significantly thinner than its neighboring spurs and light switch, it cannot look more out of place. Hence, the low specification rating. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be an alternative in the same style and it would seem to be the only option. Bizarre!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from mk switched socket Terrible three new sockets gave up in the end and went out and brought one. The screws were to tight to budge

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent MK Socket I find the quality of these MK fittings is first rate. I have not experienced the tight screw problem described by others. It is best to run up and down the terminal screws before the socket is fitted to the wall. This provides easier access to the terminal screws to ensure they turn easily. The 3 gang socket was the least expensive of all suppliers and came with free delivery which worked fine. Items were well packaged and arrived within the hour advised. Well done Toolstation!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Detective units I bought mk thinking their sockets would be better quality. Unfortunately it was only after 2 exchanges that I got one which I was able to secure the 3 connections as the screws wouldn't tighten.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product is fine but click and collect was awful I bought this via the toolstation website and paid in advance. I was given a reference number which I wrote down (not wanting to waste printer ink) but when I came to collect the store would not release the item on the written down reference number alone insisting on other proof of identity but not the payment card used Moral of the tale is to forget about paying in advance and pay at the counter. Need to buck your ideas up Toolstation. This experience has lowered my estimation of the business. MK Product is fine and fit for purpose.
