Leyland Trade Fast Drying Water Based Gloss Paint Brilliant White 2.5L is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Brush marks! As we know oil paints are being phased out due to VOCs. They result is that if you use oil based white it goes yellow in six moths. This is the alternative but like most water based paints you can leave horrendous brush marks if (like me) you are not able to paint like a sprinter! However, it stays white and is hardwearing. Avoid painting when its warm as this will speed its drying, I was painting in October and I would say that you couldn't over brush an area after about 90 seconds! If you did the "overworking" leaves a very rough finish. Also being so quick drying means that brush marks don't get a chance to pull out. I would suggest a very good quality brush, keep the lid on when possible and cut with up to 5% water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Stuff Fairly recent convert to this paint, got fed up with oil based paints killing my brushes so gave this water based paint a go. Very impressed. Finish is not as 'gloss' as oil base but still very acceptable. Plus points are easy clean up and no vapour issues (water-base) quick drying (2 coats in a matter of hours) and good cover.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good stuff Have used a number of years ago after first spending ages looking non yellowing paint. Stays white, easy to apply, no funny smells, quick drying and easy to clean. Says gloss but is more of a satin but just how I like it. Hopefully they don't go and start messing around with the content.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I purchased this paint to paint my hallway which has 9 doors all panelled, i found it needed 2 coats using a brush (more with a roller) but what a fantastic finish, no odour, drys quickly and brushes cleaned easily with hot soapy water i would definitely purchase this again (im 57)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Flaked off a window seal during winter It produces a nice brilliant white finish if applied correctly. I used it on a window frame where the sill can stay wet for prolonged periods in the winter months and I was surprised to see the coating crack and peel off, yet the preparation before applying it was done well. It still looks great on the rest of the frame, so I'll now be re-doing the bottom of the frame and sill in oil, but will still use this in areas outside that don't stay wet for too long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Dulux Three quarters the way through decorating I ran out of gloss and only had a small cupboard left so I thought I'd try a cheaper alternative to dulux so plumped for Leyland and it's totally amazed me. Loads on to brush better it's thicker and spreads so much nicer and has a better gloss look with only one coat over undercoat. I will be buying this in future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Gloss as we know it, Jim! Good value to buy, applies well, low odour, dries fast. Applied on top of Leyland undercoat. However it does not give a big shine finish like a spirit based gloss. Its not much more a satin finish. I wanted a hard, super shiny finish for window sills and afetr two coats I didn't get that. I am usually a fan of Leyland paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Finish Avoiding brush marks is always a problem with fast drying water based paints. However I wiped the surface down with a clean damp cloth, painted quickly and finished in the direction of the light. This resulted in the best finish I have managed with water based paints.
