Stainless Single Thread Pozi Screw 5 x 40mm (200 Pack) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 50.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for outdoor installations I always use stainless screws as the extra cost is minimal and the expected lifespan is substantial. They are not hardened like most modern screws so will probably need a pilot hole and a low torque setting to avoid damaging the pozidrive head. They can be a bit more fiddly as they are non-magnetic so won't hang onto the end of your screw bit like plain steel screws do. Worth the extra time and expense.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for outdoor use Have used stainless steel screws for outdoor use for years now, no rusty screws or nails and wood rot around them. Have taken down 12 year old fence to make changes just unscrewed it and wood good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stainless Steel Wins! We have a lot of fencing and outdoor woodwork which needs to be maintained. After graduating from steel screws through zinc-plated screws to stainless steel screws I have found the ideal fixing. The wood may eventually fail but the fixings last a lifetime. But be careful! Stainless steel screws need thoughtful treatment because they are softer than the cheaper alternatives, so respect them and you won't regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Economical alternative to ordinary screws These screws are a great addition to outdoor construction projects. They are ideal for joining wood or metal to wood or masonry and will outlast galvanised mild steel screws by decades! Stainless steel so will not be hardened like some types of mild steel screws. You may need to pilot drill and countersink in close grained timber to ease penetration and avoid damage to the pozidrive head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good value Very happy with the quality of these screws. Used about 100 without a damaged head or snapping. I do drill pilot holes for stainless steel screws because they sometimes snap. I can't fault them, especially for price and the usual Toolstation free fast delivery. My favourite tool shop.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good screws Good screws although the pozidrive head is not a perfect fit even in brand new bit. Ok if you apply an extra bit of pressure when you drive the screws in.
